party in the usa

so this weekend was labor day...i'm not sure about anyone else but that means time to party the last weekend of summer! so that's what me and my boys did. we went to a bar an hour away because that's the only place for us to truly party. on the way there my favorite new song came on...miss miley cyrus, "party in the usa" if you have not listened to it...you must go do it right now! its just a great song to get you in the mood to go out and dance and party.

at the club they have what is called, drink and drown! this is where you pay the $10 cover and you drink free till 1am. now for any of you out there who like to partake in adult beverages this type of situation, sounds like heaven! so needless to say we partook in this bliss of an evening which ended many many hours later in complete drunkenness!! but to rewind a minute, the club was packed it was the last big night of the summer and everyone was out. so as boys do, we started drinking and drinking which lead to dancing and more dancing. at one point in the night my friend literally passed out on my shoulder...now mind you i'm not that big of a guy. but i pick him up and cradle this guy in my arms and carry him to a bar stool out in the lower bar! this is not just a few steps, it was a totally separate part of the club and stairs were involved! so after we send him on his way home with a few other friends we go back to the bar and continue to drink and dance the rest of the night away. now to give you a few highlights: a cage dancing was involved, dancing with a multitude of different people in various forms of undress, neon lights everywhere, drag queens, and of course lots and lots of drinking.

so my favorite line of the song that inspired my great night...."get to the club in my taxi cab, everybody's lookin at me now, like who's that chick rockin the kicks? she's gotta be from outta town. so hard with my girls not around me, it's definitely not a nashville party, cause all i see hear are stilettos, i guess i never got the memo!"

so i made up my own little version, this is for all my girls from i-state..."get to the club in my taxi cab, everybody's lookin at me now, like who's that dude in his rockin jeans? he's gotta be from outta town, so hard with my girls not around me, it's definitely not a bally party, cause all i see hear are skinny jeans, i guess i never got the memo!"

but all i have to say is maybe i didn't get that skinny jean memo....but this bitch in his rockin jeans didn't go home alone....

summer fun

as summer wraps up this weekend, labor day being the official close of summer. i was thinking about all the fun of summer in a new place. this was my first summer on the beach. it was a whole new feeling spending a lazy summer with the beach half a mile away! this summer i met lots of new friends and worked and played. i traveled a lot for work, so i got to meet lots of different people and see different places. i'm continuing my year of growth.

this summer was different i didn't spend my nights in hot busy clubs, but on the open air bars overlooking the ocean! i evolved i think, i enjoyed the chill atmosphere of sitting around talking with friends having some drinks and listening to bands. i went to the "club" environment and felt almost to old. maybe it was because i miss my clubbing friends from home.

some of my old friends came to visit me this summer too. it was hard twisting their arms to get them to come to paradise. we were able to chill on the beach and have a great time shopping and spending time being lazy! a few more of my friends will be coming to the sunshine state in the next few months. i can't wait for my bro john to come see me and then of course their is the intense one herself stacey.

as your summer wraps up what plans do you all have? i know the close of my summer will be a long weekend in new orleans with my summer boys! we are seeing an amazingly fun comic, the queen of mean, lisa lampanelli. then some fun on bourbon street. i hope all of your summer's were fun and filled with lots of new activities and people.
